Fentanyl Testing Results

Big Sky Decon’s narcotic treatment reduces the amount of recoverable fentanyl to essentially zero on microfiber articles and over a 90% reduction rate on vinyl materials. Our treatment of contaminated microfiber enhances the safety of law enforcement agents and first responders coming into contact with these articles. The unit also enhances safety and reduces exposure from contact with contaminated vinyl material, and we expect that this number can be further reduced.

AREA DECON UNIT - 3 MINUTE EXPOSURE VEHICLE TESTING

Big Sky Decon Testing Results

Big Sky Decon conducted testing to see how effective the Area Decon Unit is at decontaminating the inside of a vehicle. Below is information regarding the testing results:

  • The position of each number in the vehicle is the dosage at that marked spot

    • Note that the unit is readily repositionable to other/multiple interior locations in the vehicle.

    • Note that exposure times are infinitely adjustable to increase or decrease dosages as needed.

  • Testing shows that the windshield and door glass effectively block UVC irradiation:

    • The windshield blocked UVC from 74 mJ/cm2 inside to 0.002 mJ/cm2 on the outside surface and 0.0007 mJ/cm2 at 9” away from the outside of the glass.

  • Thus, no shielding is required outside of the vehicle during interior exposure

BIG SKY DECON INTEGRITY TEST

These items were subjected to twenty, 3-minute treatments in one of Big Sky Decon's prototype units dedicated to first responders. To simulate repeated use, all items were removed from the unit after each treatment, held under ambient room conditions for at least 3 minutes and then randomly replaced into our unit for the next treatment cycle. After every 5 cycles, each PPE article was carefully examined as follows: I) visually for any change in appearance; II) by handling, manipulation, and articulation of any moving parts; and III) by repeated stretching of each exam glove in multiple directions with additional visual examination.

Chemicals, foggers, and ozone applications can be harmful to the human body and can cause severe burns, respiratory system issues, liver damage, eye damage, and in some cases chemical exposure can cause cancer and brain issues.

 

There are many chemicals that are dangerous to the human body that can be found in the products people use daily.

 

Individuals can be at risk of liability due to using chemical disinfectants that can be harmful to the customers health.
